McAdory Elementary School Theatre Arts Club

This is a theatre arts drama club that teaches students the ins and outs of theatre arts and stage crew preparations.

Students are given the opportunity to create props, manage the stage, learn scripts, and acting skills too.

Students are given the name of the upcoming play and they choose which characters they'd like to try out for in the play. Next, each student would act out character parts from the play, focusing on voice, movement, and articulation. Students will be graded on their performance and the highest score will win that role. Depending on the characters in the given play will determine the amount of students chosen for the play, including stage crew and narrators.

Practices will be each Wednesday and when the performance gets closer the last 2 weeks are daily two hour practices.

Each school year we do 2 plays (a winter and spring play), and a countywide drama competition mid year (around February to March). This class is fun & exciting, plus it gives students an experience they'll never forget.

Sometimes life is full of drama, so why not join the club........
